We’ve come a long way as a nation. 57 years as an independent nation is by no means a small feat no matter how you look at it. Especially for a country with a land size of 700 square Kilometer.
Whenever i travel, there is one thing i look forward to. It’s that simple phrase by the pilot as we approach our Changi Airport.
There are many variations of the phrase but the message is the same.
First, it welcomes all the visitors, then it addresses all the Singaporeans on the flight.
‘Welcome home’
What is home ? Home is where the heart is of course.
I won’t be writing a long mushy tribute, will just keep this short.
Singapore isn’t perfect, she has her flaws, but she’s our home.

Will like to attach one of my favourite NDP songs that is 20 years old. It’s the classics that hits the sweet spot for me.
