I love eeading your stories, but theres something about the season finale of Magic that kinda left a bad taste in my mouth.
It seems that in order to please your subscribers and to ensure that each peice of work is uploaded in time, the whole season 3 seems to be in one mad rush.
In your previous work, story line flows smmothly and things are explained and plots are unveiled in a coherent manner. I would rather u not fall into the trap of because we are paying money for this, you must released your work on time.
On time is good, but not when you have to rush through your works to be on time.
Anyway thanks for all the good work you have done.

Hi Selwrgoh, Thank you for your comment. What you mentioned is true to a certain extent.
I’m still trying to find a balance when it comes to releasing works to subscribers. How much is too much and how much is too little ?
I’m going to continue at current rate at least for now till end of June so i hit a full work year.
I’ll then evaluate if going forward, there is a better way to do this in order to balance our quality & quantity.
Magic is not without it’s shortcomings and plot holes. Having said that, i also know it has a lot of potential to be developed further. With that many characters and clan heads, there’s enough materials and background to develop each into a mini series.
Perhaps in the future when i get full time help onboard, i can revisit certain parts of it.

Love all your works, its only that this Magic S3 is one of the worst writing in all your works. There is no plot, only senseless fighting. Even a little description like the 18 demon skill is once used to do something bad with joey dad or the 18 arhat skill is something that is used to counter the 18 demon skill or something like that. It adds wonder to the story, it gives us the reader something to imagine and play out in our minds. Even the best skill in my opinion, the lady justice, no justice was given to this awesome skill. No backstory, no sub plot, no plot, just mindless fighting and introducing new skills that suddenly just get thrown at us. Compare that to when you introduce us to the wind family mask.
Overall, Magic S3 just feel too rush, without the type of “what the fuck is happening” plot reveil that you are known for.
Though your writing skills are great.
I am just wondering does this correlate to Magic S3 being your first paid to read and you feel the need to rush through in order to meet the deadline that you self imposed on yourself
Nobody mind waiting to read a good piece of works as evidently shown throughout some of the world greatest book. Delay in publishing is always inevident so that great works can be shown to the reader.
Nontherless, you are still one of the best local writer around and i have been reading your works since ilock.
I truly enjoyed the fresh perspective, away from the everyday stories. Magic kept me on the edge of my seat and as I read on, I developed a mental movie of it in my mind. On one hand I am sad to see it end without more of Joel and Kristin and how the relationship developed further. I am glad it ended on a positive note. I look forward to the local style My date with a vampire, I too am a hardcore fan of it. Please keep up the great work, truly.

Great series! I was hooked during S1 and i signed up so I could finish the series. I could tell the pace and style changed after S1, and especially the fights in S3 reminded me of the epic battles in the anime Naruto. No matter that the magic skills were not elaborated in detail, my imagination just fleshed it out for me! I guess I can understand what the first commenter said.
It would be great if this can be made into a Netflix miniseries (definitely not to be mangled by Mediacorp) or an anime. I would surely support or crowdfund hah!

Magic is being cleaned up right now. Areas that can be improved will be worked on. It’s a mid to long term project, I plan to release it as a single book in the future under another pen name.
